Behind every edition of Trans-Nomad lies an idea deeply rooted in its spirit: to leave the mountains better than we found them.
That’s our Trail Legacy —the only trace we want to leave behind. A gift to the MTB community and to the territories that open their doors to us each year.
In 2025, the #TurbonAneto edition once again took us across two of the most iconic MTB destinations in the Pyrenees: Puro Pirineo (Valle de Benasque) and Val d’Aran.
Over six intense weeks of preparation, our team —together with local trail builders— worked tirelessly to leave the trails in pristine condition: 39 kilometers of maintenance and 43 in total, recovering old lines, clearing overgrown sections, and shaping new segments that riders from all over the country are now enjoying.
Right now is the perfect time to experience that hard work before the first snows reclaim their space until next season.
A new descent from the summit of Turbón
Perhaps the most special part of this year’s Trail Legacy is the opening of the descent from the summit of Turbón, in the brand-new Turbón Mágico sector of Puro Pirineo.
This project was made possible thanks to the support of the Shimano Trail Born Fund, which allowed us to create an entirely new trail that has already become a benchmark for riders across Europe.
Since the race, we’ve seen (and loved seeing) many bikers heading back to repeat some of the descents from this edition. There’s no better reward than knowing they’ve enjoyed them as much as we did while shaping them —and watching our transnomaders send it down those same trails.
A shared effort
None of this would have been possible without the teamwork, passion, and hands-on dedication of everyone involved: the Puro Pirineo trail building crew, Aran BikeParks, the Conselh de la Val d’Aran, and Carlos Cuezva from La Demanda Cycling, who joined the TransNomad family this year.
And of course, our powerhouse friends at Trail Tales by Orbea, who once again played a key role in bringing the Trans-Nomad trails back to life.
Respect and responsibility
It’s important to remember that all this work takes place in environmentally sensitive areas. Behind every TransNomad there’s not only physical effort but also countless hours of permits, logistics, and coordination.
That’s why we ask, once again, for the utmost respect for nature.
First, because it’s the right thing to do.
And second, because if we want to keep enjoying our sport, we must do it responsibly.
The legacy of TransNomad 2025 is not just the kilometers of trail restored —it’s living proof that when you take care of the mountains, they always give back even more.
Below you’ll find the profiles of the four stages of TransNomad 2025. We encourage you to relive the journey, enjoy the trails, and keep our legacy alive. Because every rider who pedals these paths adds to the story —and helps the local communities of Puro Pirineo / Turbón Mágico and Val d’Aran grow alongside their trails.
