High mountains, large portages, long special stages along nature trails, stages of many kilometers are some of the distinguishing features of Trans-Nomad.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Muscular or Electric? All mountain or Enduro? If we\u2019re not going to a traditional enduro race\u2026 Could it be that the pure enduro bike is not the best option for Trans-Nomad? We\u2019re going to analyze the pros and cons of four Orbea mountain bikes with which to face a challenge of the magnitude of Trans-Nomad.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>1. A winning bike.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">Pros: The most downhill bike, capable of going through any terrain with speed and safety.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Cons: The climbs will cost us a little more effort than compared to any of its sisters and this can take its toll on us with the passage of race days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>2. Without a doubt, it\u2019s the most versatile of the muscle bikes on the market. Capable of climbing like an xc bike and tackling any enduro bike on the downhills. Its light weight and its super efficient pedaling will make the climbs much more comfortable.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">Pros: We\u2019ll arrive fresher at the special stages.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Cons: It will require a more precise driving than her older sister Rallon in the most broken sections of the descents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>3. Able to climb almost any slope it will allow us some porting and the climbs by track will seem like a walk. Its great stability will make the technical steps easier for us.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">Pros: Its great autonomy will allow us to finish the stages without worrying too much about the battery.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Cons: Its high weight can penalize us in some porting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>4. Its Shimano EP8 RS motor will make you feel like you have the legs of an xco pro. A natural pedaling, very different from what we feel with a conventional ebike.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Its low weight, comparable even to some muscle bikes on the market, will make us feel like we are riding a conventional all-mountain bike.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">Pros: Very light, its low weight wont penalize us in the carry and the assistance of the engine will make us feel very strong in the pedaling climbs.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Cons: Being a &#8220;very muscular&#8221; electric bike to get to the top as fast you\u2019ll have to put a part of yourself, so to speak, you\u2019ve to earn assistance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\">And now with which of these bikes would you make Trans-Nomad?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Trans-Nomad is not just another enduro race, it\u2019s a challenge, an adventure, a life experience very different from conventional races.
