We don’t want to disclose you Trans-Nomad’s stages because we want you to enjoy of an authentic experience “live” of each stage, keeping the authentic mountain-bike spirit. It will be a hard and epic Trans Nomad, with 2 stages in which we will overcome the 2.000 meters of positive and negative height difference and with an estimated duration that will fluctuate between 7 and 9 hours per day. This year we will catch up quotes that had not been caught in previous editions. For it we should do large transports and links to arrive to large descent stretchs by perfect high mountain paths.
In general terms: 4 Stages / 200 km / 7.900 m slope + / 8.450 m slope – / 53 km in 19 timing stretchs
This is the summary of each stage per day:
Stage 1: 50 km / 2.285 m. + and 2.500 m.- The stage carrie out in the Benasque and Bal d’Chistau Valleys in the Pirenee of Huesca. We will climb to an altitude of 2.350 meters, having to do a comfortable pedal by path plus a mandatory transport of 1 hour and 30 minutes to lead 16 Km and 1650 m +. There will be a ski lift in the middle of the stage that will return us to Benasque Valley and in this day we will carry out 5th chrono timing stages that add up a total of 18 km of paths in the whole stage. We will sleep in Borda de Arnaldet campsite.
Stage 2: 43 km / 1.880 m + and 2.280 m.- Today we go across Benasque and Bal d’Aran Valleys, going ahead of two hills to more than 2.000 meters, one of them to 2.470 meters. To reach them we will carry out a little transfer and one transport of 1 hour and 15 minutes with your bike on your shoulder. Once in the Val d’Aran territory and when the two first stretchs will be finished we will carry out a large and comfortable link by track (20 Km) 20 km and 850 m + to arrive to the last chrono stretchs in the Val d’Arán forests. In this day we will carry out 6 chrono timing stretchs that add up a total of 12 Kilometers of the Stage. We will sleep in Cauarca campsite.
Stage 3: 64 km / 2.030 m + and 1.780 m.- Circular stage thought the Val d´Aran that will begin with a transfer which will leave us in the start line of the 2 first chrono timing stretchs of the day. From there we will carry out a large pedal with transport stretchs (27 km/ 1680 m +) to access up to 2.200 meters of altitude to one the more faraway and wonderful zones of Val d´Arán, where we will carry out the 3rd last chrono timing stretchs to complet the total of 5 paths that add up 12 km of the stage. That day we will sleep in Cauarca campsite again.
Stage 4: 43 km / 1.710 m + and 1.870 m.- The last day of the challenge will have the largest an highest transport of whole Trans Nomad editions. We will leave Val d´Aran with a large transfer (hour and half) to reach almost 2.000 meters of altitude. From there we will carry out a transport of 2 hours up to the elevation of 2.850 meters and next we will enjoy with pedal in altitude stretchs and transports to reach a peak of 2.750 meters where we will begin the chrono timing stretchs, completing 9 km of link and 1.000 m +. From the top alternate stretchesof chrono and link, until to complete a total of 4 chrono timing stretchs that add up a total of 12 km of the stage. The last path will leave us very close of the Borda Arnaldet campsite, where we will celebrate our adventure with a dinner and a deservedly party to all of us.
