Registration not includes:
Participants will have a scheduled time to leave the base camp, either with transfer or by bike.
Riders will be responsible for managing their time each morning. They will have a curfew for breakfast. They will have to leave their travel bags at race office, and they will also have to pick up their food and activate the timing chip before the start.
Time for breakfast, start, chip update, etc. will be notified during the briefing that will take place at 8:00 pm every day at the base camp.
During the race, riders will enjoy a transfer service, and an area with food and drinks and mechanical service.
Each stage ends at the accomodation, where riders will find their room and enjoy a warm shower before the briefing, at 8:00 pm, and have dinner, at 8:30 pm.
Riders must be fit and used to high-mountain weather to face long riding, bike portages and descents.
Each competition day will have around 4-5 stages, between 35 and 50 km, and an average altitude about 2000m of positive and negative slope (even more). We estimate an average of 6-7 hours per race day, including linking sections and stages.
We will have to make several bike portages with an average duration of half an hour – 1 ½ hours.
Every day there will be a shuttle service or mechanical transfer, usually the first link of the day. Those can be between 45 minutes and 1 h and 30 minutes.
The special stages require driving conditions and advanced technical skills as well as a good general fitness. We also consider important the spirit of adventure, exploration and improvement.
It’s mandatory to carry your GPS device with each race-day track to follow the race.
All you need is the urge for adventure and fun. In spite of the competitive format of the event, the most important thing is ending the adventure without falls and mechanical problems that force you to abandon the race.
